1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the HobbyFlock mobile application and any related services (together, the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

2. Who we are

HobbyFlock is operated by the app publisher/developer (“we”, “us”, “our”).

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
  • You are responsible for keeping your device and any login credentials secure.

4. What the App does

HobbyFlock is a livestock record-keeping app that helps you manage flocks/herds and animal records, including (depending on features you use):

  • Flock/herd management for sheep, goats, cows, pigs, horses, chickens, turkeys and ducks
  • Individual animal records (details, photos, pedigree/family tree, weights)
  • Medication records and exports for reporting
  • Feed purchase and consumption logs (including batch details and photos)
  • Movements and fields (map field boundaries, record movements, additions, deaths, sales; export/download movements data for reporting)
  • Optional results tracking for shows/classes
  • Storage of farm details such as Farm Business ID or CPH number

5. Important disclaimer (not professional advice)

  • The App is a record-keeping tool only.
  • We do not provide veterinary, legal, regulatory, or compliance advice.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your records are accurate and meet any requirements for government reporting or other compliance obligations.

6. Your content and responsibility for accuracy

You may input, upload, or store information in the App (“User Content”), including animal details, medication records, feed records, movement records, photos, and farm identifiers.

  • You confirm you have the right to upload and use your User Content.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of your User Content.
  • You should keep your own backups/exports of important records.

7. Subscriptions, pricing, and billing

  • The App may offer a free tier (e.g., first 5 animals free) and paid subscriptions for unlimited animals.
  • Indicative pricing: £3.99/month or £24.99/year (as displayed in the App Store at time of purchase).
  • Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store (or relevant app marketplace). Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by that marketplace’s terms and your account settings.
  • We may change pricing or plans in the future; any changes will be presented to you in the marketplace and/or within the App.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App unlawfully or in a way that infringes others’ rights
  • Upload content you do not have permission to use
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the App
  • Introduce malware or attempt unauthorised access to systems or data

9. Intellectual property

The App, its code, design, branding, and all related intellectual property rights belong to us or our licensors. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for your own record-keeping purposes.

10. Availability and changes

  • We aim to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for losses resulting from inaccurate records, missed treatments, incorrect reporting, or reliance on exported data.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data). Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

HobbyFlock — Privacy Policy 

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use HobbyFlock (the “App”).

2. Who is the controller?

The app publisher/developer is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the App.

Depending on how you use the App, we may process:

  • Animal and flock/herd records (species, identifiers, pedigree/family links, weights)
  • Medication records (treatments administered, dates, animals/flocks treated)
  • Feed records (purchase date, supplier, batch details, photos of feed bags, consumption records)
  • Movements and field information (field names/boundaries you draw, movements on/off fields, additions, deaths, sales)
  • Optional results tracking (shows/classes entered and outcomes)
  • Farm details you choose to store (e.g., Farm Business ID or CPH number)

3.2 Photos and media

If you choose to upload photos (e.g., animal photos, feed bag photos), we will process those images.

3.3 Subscription and purchase data

Purchases are processed by the app marketplace (e.g., Apple). We typically receive confirmation of subscription status, not full payment card details.

3.4 Device/usage data

We may collect technical data necessary to operate the App (e.g., device type, OS version, app version, crash logs).

4. How we use your data

We use data to:

  • Provide core App functionality (record keeping, exports, reporting downloads)
  • Sync and store your records (where applicable)
  • Improve reliability and performance (debugging, crash analysis)
  • Manage subscriptions and access to paid features
  • Provide support and respond to requests
